Can we talk about how disgusting this is and she’s proud to be “famous”

Auschwitz is not a place for smiles and selfies. It’s a place for mourning and remembrance.

like, you should be completely somber while walking through the largest concentration camp that caused mass genocide, not pausing for an instagram pic.

How sickening.

I’ve seen three postings of this today and two of them have more notes than any anti-semitic incident I’ve seen in Europe in the past two weeks. Pathetic. Really. We’re going to call out this and not fire bombings of synagogues and hate parades? Jews on my dash in Chicago, Illinois, USA, are getting anti-semitic flyers left on their windshields, and we’re complaining about some gentile making an inappropriate selfie. I’m done. I’m just done. I’m completely and utterly finished.

Also, seriously? WHO GIVES A RAT’S ASS?

Come on. She was probably a little overwhelmed by the physical evidence of human cruelty and suffering all around her. So she acted out a little. It’s normal. It’s human. Big fucking deal.

Every time I read one of these freakouts, my brain translates it into:

"Hey, look, a young person DID THE THING. They did the thing in a BAD PLACE. Bad, bad young person. Don’t you know that the only appropriate way to deal with BAD THINGS is OUR WAY? If you deal with the bad thing in some new way, it must be bad. Disrespectful. BAD young person. BAD!"

It’s worth pointing out that fishingboatproceeds wrote Hazel and Augustus kissing in Anne Frank’s house, but he was praised nigh unto a God for his work.

Seriously, Rugrats was not fucking around.

People don’t give Rugrats enough credit for how progressive it was. I mean think about it.

  • Chuckie, for most of the series is raised by a single father
  • Angelica’s mother was a high ranking corporate executive
  • Phil and Lil’s mom was a feminist
  • She also breastfed them (which the show actually depicted)
  • Tommy is half-Jewish and the show actually explored this part of his heritage

Seriously, this show was fucking amazing!! They just don’t make ‘em like this anymore….

Also don’t forget that Chuckie had an interracial family after the second movie.

How are you guys forgetting Susie? I mean her mom was a doctor and her dad was a writer for a famous Children’s TV show. Not to mention Kimmie was anything BUT submissive.

Remember when they had episodes that hit hard to issues kids might be dealing with? Chuckie only had his Dad on Mothers Day, Tommy had to deal with being outshadowed by a new baby brother, Phil and Lil were constantly being mixed up and then they had a couple episodes where they each found that even as a twin they were their own people.
Man Rugrats was the shit.

Technically, Thor Is Now A Disney Princess

Thor and Leia both, actually.

I put this on my test. It didn’t work, but it was certainly better than the actual problem.

You would think that teenagers would be the rudest customers when really it’s mostly old, middle-aged people.

However, after serving at Bob Evans for two years, I’d rather deal with a rowdy group of teenagers than a grumpy 50-something couple. This is not to suggest that teens are somehow tolerable guests though.

Pretty much every guest at a restaurant is the worst person.
